Summer Share




Our summer share runs from Late May / Early June, with its bright green and leafy produce, through November, where we get the best of the farm’s hearty root vegetables. 


Summer Share

Basics:
  • Season: Early June – Late October/Early November
  • 22 weekly pickups
  • Tuesdays, 4:00PM – 7:00 PM, at St. Mark’s Church-in-the-Bowery

Details:
Our regular summer share consists of fresh, organic, and seasonal produce delivered weekly from Norwich Meadows Farm. Every year and every week brings the freshest seasonal produce - ranging from sweet gem lettuces and persian cucumbers to feathery fennel and  amaranth greens. The summer share is perfect for 2-3 people, depending on your vegetable to non-vegetable consumption.  Whole shares and half shares are available, but members are welcome to split shares on their own afterward.

Chef’s Box (NEW!)
As an alternative (or addition) to the Regular share, this share will contain some of the more unique items that are popular amongst the chefs and restaurants we work with. It is for the more adventurous 'foodie' who will take the time to investigate and cook with
some lesser known ingredients.

Examples of items include: pencil leeks, cardoon, broccolini, french sorrel, anise hyssop, aji dulce, treviso radicchio, gem lettuce, mixed carrots, and more!

Juicing Box (NEW!)
This will contain a minimum of 3lb Carrots and 2lb Beets.  In addition it will contain other items in season that people enjoy juicing, such as: Celery, Kale, Dandelion, Cucumbers, Spinach, Ginger, etc. Because this is specifically for juicing, there will not be major changes in variety each week.  It is a base of 3lb Carrots, 2lb Beets with other season items that are used for juicing.


Add-ons:
Summer add-ons generally include weekly or bi-weekly organic and local options for fruit, eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, apple cider, bread, and grass-fed ground beef. Details and prices are in the Sign Up form linked below.
